The AlignVET Project – Aligning VET Programmes to Occupational Needs in Egypt has officially launched its first Transnational Partnership Meeting and Workshop in Cairo, marking a significant milestone toward transforming Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Egypt.
It was hosted at the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) from April 6 to 8, the three-day event brought together a diverse group of national and international partners, all working toward a shared vision: building a more responsive and future-ready vocational education system aligned with real labor market needs.

The workshop gathered leading institutions from Egypt alongside experienced international partners, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across borders.

Key Highlights of the Workshop
Over the course of three intensive days, participants engaged in a series of strategic discussions, technical sessions, and interactive workshops aimed at strengthening the foundation of the AlignVET project.
Key activities included:
- Project coordination, quality assurance, and dissemination planning;
- Introduction of the Occupational Mapping methodology to link skills with job market requirements;
- Sessions on Key Competences for Lifelong Learning;
- In-depth exploration of the EQAVET framework and its adaptation to the Egyptian context
- Peer learning, interactive workshops, and collaborative strategy development
