AlignVET Project Holds Focus Group Discussions with Industry Stakeholders at the Federation of Egyptian Industries

Last week, the AlignVET Project successfully conducted a series of focus group discussions at the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) as part of its ongoing Sectoral Analysis of Key Industries and Stakeholders.

The sessions brought together representatives from industry, employers, and key stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue about the current and future needs of the Egyptian labor market. Participants shared valuable perspectives on emerging workforce trends, sector-specific skills requirements, and the challenges facing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems in preparing graduates for employment.

The discussions focused on identifying critical skills gaps, understanding employer expectations, and exploring opportunities to strengthen collaboration between industry and educational institutions. The insights gathered will play a crucial role in the competency mapping process, helping to ensure that vocational education programs remain relevant, responsive, and aligned with labor market demands.

By incorporating industry expertise into the development of training frameworks, the AlignVET Project aims to support the creation of a modern, competency-based VET ecosystem that equips learners with the skills needed for successful careers while addressing the evolving needs of employers.

These activities represent an important step toward building stronger connections between education and employment and fostering a more competitive and future-ready workforce in Egypt.

Together, we are working towards a stronger, more relevant, and future-oriented TVET ecosystem.
